History
Lesotho Save The Children (LSC) first began in 1961 as a project of Save the Children Fund (UK) Now known as Save the Children (UK).
The name was officially changed and the organisation registered under The Societies Act in 1979.
Throughout its 43 year history. LSC worked to protect and support the country's most vulnerable children. As government services and social issues have changed, so has LSC's work.
LSC's current work focuses on child protection, hospice care, quality education and community based HIV/AIDS support.
LSC works within the guidelines of the United Nations' Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Save The Children Charter.
Currently LSC has three programmes namely Maseru Children'sVillage, Bursaries programme and Tholoan'a Lerato.
